Conan O’Brien has unveiled Apple’s latest eRase U2 service which not only wipes the uninvited U2 spam off your computer but now also erases all memories you have of the band.
The whole thing was a funny piss-take on the U2 saga of the past week.
The unprompted delivery of U2’s 13th album ‘Songs of Innocence’ was a $100 million campaign designed to promote Apple but instead gave U2 a week of publicity they probably didn’t mind … especially if “any news is good news”.
Apple spammed 500 million iTunes users with the U2 album regardless of them being fans or not but to make matters worse, non-U2 fans couldn’t delete it until Apple designed a U2 removal tool.
Earlier this week, Sharon Osbourne and Tyler The Creator both gave their thoughts on the U2 spamming exercise.
