Slipknot’s Corey Taylor does not agree that Kanye West is the greatest living rock star on the planet.
The sentence was uttered by Yeezus at last month’s Glastonbury festival, despite the fact that more than 134,000 signed a petition objecting his booking.
The comment left some music fans enraged, including Corey
“Kanye, you are not, not, the greatest living rock star of all-time. The fact that you had to tell people that kind of says it all,” Cory spelled out in a video for Music Choice.
“You remind me of the guy who brags about p***y, who doesn’t get as much as they brag about. Stop it. Stop it.”
This isn’t the first time Kanye has proclaimed his genius. In September 2013, during a chat with Zane Lowe for BBC Radio 1, the rapper opened up on his number-one rock star credentials and his perfect music.
“I’m not trying to regurgitate myself. I showed people that I understand how to make perfect. You know, [My Twisted] Dark Fantasy could be considered to be perfect. I know how to make perfect, but that’s not what I’m here to do. I’m here to crack the pavement and make new grounds sonically… and culturally.
“We culture. Rap is the new rock ‘n’ roll. We are the real rock stars and I’m the biggest of all of them. I’m the number-one rock star on the planet,” he boasted.
“I eventually want to be the anchor of the first trillion-dollar company.”
