The forthcoming documentary about world-beating pub-rockers Cosmic Psychos has hit its crowdfunding target.
A month ago the makers of the documentary Blokes You Can Trust put out the call to film and music fans to help finish off their documentary about legendary and influential pub-rock band Cosmic Psychos.
Now director Matt Weston has announced that the film hit the Pozible crowd-funding target of $28,000 within 30 days and will certainly be completed by the end of the year.
The trailer for the film reflected the international influence of the band, featuring interviews with Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam, producer Butch Vig, and alternative acts Mudhoney and the Melvins. This rang true in the pledges, with $11,000 coming from US supporters.
Pledgers have scored rewards, including “limited edition producer T-shirt and invitation to the launch party in country Victoria for $100, through to the band playing in your shed or cooking you a 3 course meal for $5000”.
Blokes You Can Trust will be ready to screen in early 2013. Well done, everyone.
