Courtney Barnett and Kurt Vile are clowning around in their new video ‘Over Everything’.

The song is the first taste of the duo from their upcoming album ‘Lotta Sea Lice’, due in October.

‘Lotta Sea Lice’ will include a few covers including Courtney’s partner Jen Cloher’s on ‘Fear Is Like A Forest’ and Belly’s ‘Untogether’ as well as a new version of Kurt’s previously solo song ‘Smoke Ring From My Halo’.

Kurt and Courtney have also put together a touring band featuring Janet Weiss (Sleater-Kinney, Wild Flag), Rob Laakso (The Violators, The Swirlies, Mice Parade), Stella Mozgawa (Warpaint), and Katie Harkin (Sky Larkin, touring member of Sleater-Kinney and Wild Beasts).

Courtney Barnett met Kurt Vile when she scored a support slot for him at the Abbotsford Convent in the inner Melbourne suburb of Abbotsford. While the conversations were short at that point, the two met up again later on the festival touring circuit and became good friends.
