Melbourne singer songwriter has made her hometown suburb of Preston famous across America after performing her song ‘Depreston’ on the Ellen Show.
Barnett is in the USA to showcase her debut album ‘Sometimes I Sit and Think, Sometimes I Sit’ at the SXSW music conference in Austin. Courtney’s official SXSW showcase will be this Thursday night at midnight at the Cedar Street Courtyard at 208 W 4th St, Austin.
Courtney is strangely absent from the Aussie BBQ line-up at SXSW this Friday.
Courtney Barnett established her own label Milk Records in 2012. She released her partner Jen Choler’s record ‘In Blood Memory’ on the label in 2013 and also played lead guitar on the album.
‘Sometimes I Sit and Think, Sometimes I Sit’, her debut, will be released worldwide on March 23, 2015.
