Courtney Love wasn’t thrilled about Sir Paul McCartney performing with the surviving members of Nirvana.
Kurt Cobain’s widow was mortified to learn that the Beatle would jam at the 12.12.12 Hurricane Sandy benefit concert with Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic.
It was the first time that Dave and Krist played onstage together in more than 20 years following Kurt’s death in 1994.
Courtney tells TMZ that she was irate about the gig, mainly because she’s not too keen on Paul being the lead singer.
‘[I’m] not amused,’ she told the website.
“Look, if John [Lennon] were alive it would be cool.”
According to TMZ, Courtney was also upset because she believes that Kurt was ‘the heart and soul’ of the group and is absolutely irreplaceable.
Paul, Dave and KristĀ performed a new song, ‘Cut Me Some Slack’, which they wrote together.
They shared the stage with Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Springsteen, Billy Joel, Alicia Keys, Kanye West and The Rolling Stones at Wednesday’s show, which will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
