Scott Stapp, frontman for rock superstars Creed, announces that he’ll spill the beans in a memoir.
Billboard reports that Creed’s messianic singer Scott Stapp will release a memoir which will go into the “fame, sex, alcohol, drugs and depression” that comes with being in a mega-selling Christian rock band.
It’ll be co-written by Rolling Stone contributor David Ritz, who has produced biographies on Janet Jackson and Marvin Gaye.
Stapp said in a press release, “The book describes my childhood, my internal battles with drugs and depression and how I lost control of my life. My memoir reveals never before released details about my life and the challenges I’ve faced before coming to grips and finding sobriety.”
The book will be titled Sinner’s Creed and will be released as a hardback and e-book on October 2. Hopefully he’ll delve into his on-camera antics while playing celebrity poker on SpikeTV.
