Melbourne’s Cut Copy are a recent addition to the SXSW line-up in Texas in March.

Cut Copy released their fifth album ‘Haiku From Zero’ in 2017. Grammy-winning Ben H. Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Kaiser Chiefs, Animal Collective) produced the album.

Cut Copy’s biggest album in Australia was ‘In Ghost Colours’ that reached number one in 2008. The follow-up ‘Zonoscope’ reached no 3 in Australia and no 46 in the USA in 2011. ‘Zonoscope’ also picked up two ARIA Awards in 2011.

Dan Whitford formed Cut Copy in Melbourne in 2001. The band now features Whitford with Tim Hoey (guitar), Mitchell Scott (drums) and Ben Browning (bass).

SXSW Music is on from March 12 to 18, 2018 in Austin, Texas.
