Daft Punk will have a second big week in America this week holding back albums from Alice In Chains, Little Mix and John Fogerty from reaching the top of the chart.
Hitsdailydouble.com predicts Daft Punk ‘Random Access Memories’ will once again be at number one, Alice In Chains ‘Devil Put Dinosaurs Here’ will be no 2, Little Mix ‘DNA’ will debut at 3 and John Fogerty ‘Wrote A Song For Everyone’ will come in at number four.
For John Fogerty, it is still good news for the former Creedence Clearwater Revival singer. ‘Wrote A Song For Everyone’ will score his biggest album chart position in 28 years. The last time Fogerty was in the Top 10 was with ‘Centerfield’ in 1985.
Fogerty’s last album ‘The Blue Ridge Rangers Ride Again’ (2009) sold 21,000 in its first week and to date has sold 109,000 in the USA. With less than half of this week’s sales counted ‘Wrote A Song For Everyone’ has sold 28,600 units so far.
‘Wrote A Song For Everyone’ is an album of Fogerty covering Fogerty songs with special guests like Foo Fighters, Bob Seger, Keith urban, Tom Morello, Kid Rock and Zac Brown.
