Former Australian idol winner Damien Leith will release his 7th album ‘Chapter Seven’ independently this week.
Damien Leith will release the album through Social Family Records, the same label as Baby Animals and Steve Balbi.
Damien spent two years recording most of the album in a studio he built in Sydney. “In the album I cover a lot of different themes, love, loss and everything in between. But I’ve tried to approach them from a positive outlook. It’s true to the style people know me for,” said Damien.
Two of the songs were written with Roy Orbison’s co-writer Joe Melson. Melson co-wrote the Orbison classics ‘Crying’ and ‘Only The Lonely’. In 2011 Leith released ‘Roy: A Tribute To Roy Orbison’. It reached no. 2 on the ARIA chart.
Leith will start his ‘Without A Fight’ Australian tour in Perth this Friday.
