Daniel Johns has released his first solo song ‘Aerial Love’.
‘Aerial Love’ is a different sound for the former Silverchair singer. ‘Aerial Love’ is a soul song, sounding more like Marvin Gaye than Nirvana.
Johns has rarely released new music since Silverchair disbanded officially in 2011 although the band’s last album ‘Young Modern’ was released in 2007.
While still with Silverchair Johns recorded the side-project The Dissociatives with Paul Mac and touring members The Presets. They released an album in 2004.
Johns also recorded the piece ‘Atlas’ for a QANTAS commercial in 2011, has written with The Veronicas (his song was not included on their new album but may be used as a b-side) and her also collaborated with 360 on the track ‘Impossible’ off 360’s ‘Utopia’ album.
