Former Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns has given fans a second serving of his forthcoming solo record with the new song ‘Preach’.
‘Preach’ follows up the soul infused ‘Aerial Love’ released in January and again is a vast departure from the grunge of Silverchair.
“I’m prouder of it than anything I’ve ever written”, says Daniel. “The EP is not a single plus three bonus tracks – it’s four songs designed to be heard as a complete piece of work”.
Underground electronic duo Damn Moroda co-wrote & co-produced the track.
‘Preach’ will feature on the upcoming ‘Aerial Love’ E.P. due March 13.
Daniel Johns is only 35 year old now. He was 15 when Silverchair released their debut album ‘Frogstomp’ in 1995. The album reached no 1 in Australia, no 9 in the USA and no 49 in the UK.
Silverchair broke up after their last album ‘Young Modern’ was released in 2007. At this point, the have never reformed.
