There is great news from The Wilson Pickers today with the word that Danny Widdicombe will return to the band.

Danny was forced to step down from the band as he underwent treatment for leukaemia. His recent second bout of treatment was ruled a success and now Danny will be well enough to play with The Wilson Pickers at Bluesfest 2013.
Danny’s return comes as banjo player Ben Salter also announces that he will return to the band after working on his solo record ‘The Cat’.
The band also features Andrew Morris, Sime Nugent and John Bedggood.
They will also return to the studio early 2013 to start work on their third album.
The Wilson Pickers first two albums ‘Land of the Powerful Owl’ (2008) and ‘Shake It Down’ (2010) were both nominated for ARIA Awards for Best Blues and Roots Album.
