Daryl Braithwaite Cancels More Shows This Week

in News

Daryl Braithwaite has had to cancel more shows this week on doctors orders because he is “making slow progress”.

The 68-year old Australian music legend was rushed to hospital after his Red Hot Summer gig in South Australia two weekends ago. He hoped to be back working this week but “the infection that I have is still with me”.

In a Facebook post Daryl said,

Good afternoon,

Thank you for all the get well messages, they are much appreciated .i am making slow progress but unfortunately the infection that I have is still with me,so I sadly have had to cancel the Night Quarter gig on the Gold Coast on Thursday 25 Jan and also the Riva ,Australia Day gig with Jon Stevens and Jimmy Barnes.

I so very much look forward to getting well.

Kindest Regards .. Daryl

As well as the two shows this week Daryl will not be able to perform at this weekend’s Red Hot Summer show in Ballarat. Ross Wilson has stepped in to take his place.

At this stage, Daryl hopes to be ready for the Red Hot Summer show in Port Macquarie on February 4.
