Dave Graney and Clare Moore will reform Dave Graney and the Coral Snakes for a performance of the 1993 ‘Night Of The Wolverine’ album.
‘Night Of The Wolverine’ is one of the most important creations in the 25+ album deep Graney catalogue. The album was record over three days in December 1992 and released in April 1993. The album earned an ARIA Award nomination for Best Alternative Release in 1994. The track ‘You’re Just To Hip, Baby’ made its way onto the Triple J Hottest 100 of 1993 at no 59.
‘Night Of The Wolverine’ laid the groundwork for the Graney fanbase to swell and the next record ‘You Wanna Be There But You Don’t Want To Travel’ reached no 10 on the Australian album chart.
Tony Cohen (The Birthday Party, Nick Cave) produced the album. Tex Perkins features on ‘Night Of The Wolverine II’. ‘Three Dead Passengers In A Stolen Second Hand Ford’ was co-written with Stephen Cummings.
Dave Graney and the Coral Snakes will perform their first shows since 1997 in Melbourne at Memo Music Hall in St Kilda in August 7 and 8.
