Dave Matthews Band has had a convincing win to top this week’s US chart and the Top 5, including Bob Dylan ‘Tempest’ is completely brand new.
Dave Matthews Band ‘Away From The World’ sold 271,000 units while Dylan’s ‘Tempest’ sold around 101,000 to give Bob the no. 3 spot, according to HitsDailyDouble.com.
‘Tempest’ was edged out slightly by Little Big Town ‘Tornado’ with 109,000 sales while Avett Brothers ‘Carpenter’ is looking like landing at no. 4 with 74,000 sales and The xx ‘Coexist’ at no. 5 with 74,000 sales.
ZZ Top’s long awaited Rick Rubin produced ‘La Futura’ will land in the top 10 with sales of around 28,000.
Last week’s no. 1 debut for Matchbox Twenty had a 72% sales drop this week pushing the ‘North’ album down towards the no. 8 spot.
Other debuts this week will be David Byrne and St Vincent ‘Love This Giant’, DMX ‘Undisputed’, Austin & Ally soundtrack, Daddy Yankee ‘Prestige’, Hoobastank ‘Fight or Flight’, Mint Condition ‘Music At The Speed Of Life’ and Kix Brooks ‘New To This Town’.
