Musical legends and friends Ringo Starr and Dave Stewart are producing the new film Hole in the Fence which is being based on their music and story ideas.
Paramount has picked up the film which is being written by David Harris who is already working with Stewart on another feature based on the graphic novel Zombie Broadway.
According to Deadline Hollywood, the story is a “coming-of-age drama … about a group of kids who form a band to escape their depressing mining town.” The synopsis is not that much different from both Starr and Stewart’s starts in music.
Ringo has acted in a number of films and TV shows from the children’s show Shining Time Station the b-film classics Sextette and Caveman.
Stewart has gotten very involved in both theater and TV with his new Broadway musical Ghost and the TV pilot Malibu Country with Reba McEntire.
