Just how much money would it take to get David Bowie out of retirement from the concert stage? It looks like both AEG and Live Nation would like to find out and the answer could be in the millions.
Britian’s The Mirror reports that Live Nation will offer Bowie “a multi-million pound” fee to play at Olympic Park in East London sometime next year.
Not to be left out, AEG is expected to make their own offer to the singer for a show, possibly to be held at London’s Hyde Park.
Meanwhile, there is not indication from Bowie that he would even entertain an offer. He hasn’t put on a full show since 2004 when he had a heart attack while performing in Germany.
So far this year, Bowie has released The Next Day, his first album in ten years, along with having an exhibition on his life at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum that is now about to tour internationally.
