Dead In A Second, the new band from former Thousand Needles In Red guitarist Tristan ‘Trizo’ Bouillaut, have signed with Sydney-based Possum Records, run by industry stalwart Philip Israel.
Israel formed Possum in 1985 after working in A&R at EMI in Sydney. “I was looking for a great rock band to round out the artist roster,” said Israel. “After hearing the early mixes of the new Dead In A Second album, I was convinced this was the band I was looking for”.
The label also releases Richie Ramone, Melanie, Ian Dury and Janis Ian.
“It’s every musicians dream to be backed by such music industry heavyweights. I feel thankful this record is going into the right hands,” adds Trizo.
Earlier this year Dead In A Second released their tribute to Chrissy Amphlett ‘Girls In Town’, a male vocal version of her Divinyls hit ‘Boys In Town’.
The Dead In A Second album ‘Treblio’ will be released on Possum in March, 2014.
