Deborah Conway and Willy Zygier will perform Deborah’s 1991 classic ‘String Of Pearls’ from ‘go to whoa’ in Melbourne on June 13.

‘String of Pearls’ delivered two Top 40 hits in 1991. ‘It’s Only The Beginning’ reached no. 19 on the ARIA singles chart and ‘Under My Skin’ peaked at no. 34 while a third single ‘Release Me’ was a radio hit across Australia.

‘String of Pearls’ was Conway’s first solo album after Do-Re-Mi. The album featured Melbourne’s finest musicians including Richard Pleasance, Peter Farnan and Peter ‘Maz’ Maslen from Boom Crash Opera, Chris Wilson, Vika Bull and Vince Jones.

Deborah co-wrote ‘It’s Only The Beginning’ with Scott Cutler, ‘King of Jordan’ with Pleasance and ‘Under My Skin’, ‘White Roses’ and ‘Someday’ with her former Do-Re-Mi bandmate Dorland Bray. Paul Kelly contributed to ‘Last To Know’ as well as ‘Someday’.
