Demi Lovato Cancels Everything On Her Schedule

Representatives for Demi Lovato have scrapped the remainder of the singer’s world tour as she continues to recover from a suspected drug overdose.

Lovato had been due to embark on the final leg of her Tell Me You Love Me World Tour with two gigs in Mexico in September (18) and six more across South America in November, but those shows have now been pulled as a result of Demi’s health crisis.

A joint statement issued to TMZ by event organisers at Live Nation and Lotus Productions reads: “(We) wish Demi Lovato the best now and in the future and we hope to see her soon in South America.”

Lovato’s managers previously had to axe a concert in Atlantic City, New Jersey and her set at a charity gig in Toronto, Canada last month (Jul18) after she was hospitalised in Los Angeles on 24 July (18).

She was discharged from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center over the weekend, and reportedly headed straight to a rehabilitation facility outside of California to begin in-patient treatment in an effort to regain her sober status.

Demi had been clean for six years before confessing she had relapsed in the candid lyrics to her most recent single, Sober.

The 25-year-old, who had been open about her struggles with alcohol and drugs, depression, eating disorders, and self-harming in the past, addressed her health emergency for the first time in a personal statement released via Instagram on Sunday, when she vowed to “keep fighting” as she thanked family, friends, fans, and medical staff for their support during the tough time.

“I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction,” Demi wrote. “What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”

She went on to explain that she will be taking some time to focus on her sobriety and “road to recovery”, adding: “The love you have all shown me will never be forgotten and I look forward to the day where I can say I came out on the other side. I will keep fighting.”
