LISTEN: Dinosaur Jr. Stream New Tune

Dinosaur Jr. are one of the most distinctive bands to come out of the alternative rock scene of the late 80s and 90s and with their upcoming tenth album I Bet On Sky, things don’t seem to have changed.

The band have revealed via Soundcloud the first glimpse of the record in the form of the song Watch The Corners. The song is loaded with all of the usual Dinosaur Jr. tricks: loud guitars, fuzz pedals, a wild solo towards the end and J. Mascis’ casually groaning voice over the top.

You can listen to the song below, so you won’t need me to tell you that this song is pretty bloody great.

Their upcoming album I Bet On Sky will be released through Jagjaguwar on September 18, 2012.

Dinosaur Jr fifth album ‘Where You Been’ was released on 9 February 1993. It was the album that established the Dinosaur Jr fanbase, especially in Australia where the Massachusetts group had their first chart position in Australia which continued on with the next record ‘Without A Sound’.
