Joy Division’s big hit was 1979’s ‘Love Will Tear Us Apart’. They have now made their way into Disneyland.

Take the happiest place in the world and combine a dark music group that’s been gone for over thirty years and you get…..the brand new Mickey Mouse/Joy Division t-shirt.
This isn’t something that was dreamed up by some company to sell at Hot Topic. This is actually a product that is being sold by Disney at their stores. The head of Mickey Mouse is depicted on the shirt made from the waves produced by a pulsar from space, the same concept used on the Joy Division album Unknown Pleasures.
Even Disney admits the source:
“Inspired by the iconic sleeve of Joy Division’s ‘Unknown Pleasures’ album, this Waves Mickey Mouse Tee incorporates Mickey’s image within the graphic of the pulse of a star. That’s appropriate given few stars have made bigger waves than Mickey!”
Now we wait for Disney to release a Mickey shirt inspired by the album art of Iron Maiden.
