DJ Sneak has been a last minute drop-out from the Lost Paradise and Let Them Eat Cake festival in Sydney and Melbourne. Jamie xx will replace him.
In a statement, Let Them Eat Cake organisers announced:
“It’s with great disappointment that we have to announce the cancellation of DJ Sneak’s performance at Let Them Eat Cake. On doctor’s orders DJ Sneak has been advised to not travel due to a back injury. We wish Dj Sneak a speedy recovery and hope to have him perform at the mansion very soon!
“However, we are very excited to announce the addition of Jamie xx! Jamie xx is a multi-talented beatmaker who is also part of one of this generations most influential acts: The xx. But it’s not just as a band member where he plies his trade, as he has added his unique beats-based remix touch to a host of critically acclaimed artists like Florence and the Machine, Gil Scott-Heron and Adele, alongside producing his own material of course. With a sound that has seen him grow into one the globe’s most distinctive artists, Jamie xx can rightly be called an extraordinary talent – and a very exciting addition to Let Them Eat Cake 2015”.
Lost Paradise promoters advised fans:
“Illusive regrets to announce that on doctor’s orders, DJ Sneak has been forced to cancel his Australian tour due to a back injury”.
Let Them Eat Cake will be held at Werribee Mansion, Werribee (outside Melbourne) from 11am New Year’s Day. Lost Paradise is on New Years Eve and New Years Day at Peats Ridge outside Sydney.
