Dolores O’Riordan of The Cranberries died from drowning in a bath due to alcohol intoxication, the coroner has revealed.
O’Riordan died on January 15 at age 46. It has taken eight months to announce what must have been automatically known at the time.
The Cranberries singer was found completely submerged in the bath at her room at the Park Lane Hilton in London. The coroner reported that there was no evidence of self harm and that the death was a tragic accident.
Dolores was found to have had over four times what would have been the legal limit for driving in the UK.
She had made a call top her mother at around 3am and had called room service at midnight. She was pronounced dead at 9.16am.
Dolores O’Riordan also suffered bipolar disorder.
