Dorothy Bell, wife of the late Australian jazz great Graeme Bell AO, MBE, attended the Jazz Bell Awards in Melbourne Thursday night.
The Jazz Bell Awards were named after Graeme Bell who died in 2012 at the age of 97. After the founding of the awards in 2003, Graeme attended most events up until his death with the exception of the last few years where he was too frail to travel to Melbourne from his home in Sydney.
The evening featured the induction of Judy Bailey, one of Australia’s leading musicians and composes into the Jazz Hall of Fame.
