Last year Drake’s first album Thank Me Later debuted at number one on the US Billboard Chart and went platinum and he’s already preparing his follow-up, to be titled Take Care.

But the prospective release date of October 24 was a little too ambitious, he announced on his October’s Very Own blog.

Drake says he has 19 songs ready; 17 for the album and two for the digital release. Trouble is, he can’t clear samples for three of them early enough to make the October date, which is his 25th birthday.

So he’s shifted the release date to November 15 in order to get the paperwork in order.

He wrote, “This music means too much to me to get attached to dates and I do apologize for the delay but I promise that it is only for the benefit of our experience together”.

The sensitive rapper has also shifted his tour dates to early in the New Year.
