Drake Postpones Upcoming Tour Due To Foot Injury

Rapper Drake has scrapped the remaining dates on his Summer Sixteen tour to fully recover from an ankle injury.

Drake postponed shows in Toronto, Canada, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Newark, New Jersey last week.

A spokesperson claims the hitmaker’s ankle injury has worsened because he refuses to take a proper break.

“Drake suffered a severe ankle injury during the tour which he did his best to power through,” the insider says. “By doing this, he made his injury worse.

“Under doctors’ orders and to ensure Drake only ever gives fans the performances they deserve, he will be postponing the remaining three dates of his Summer Sixteen tour to allow him time to recuperate his ankle injury. Drake’s fans mean the world to him. Seeing their faces and performing his music for them is what he loves to do the most and he can’t wait to get back on stage.”

Meanwhile, Drake’s ankle isn’t the only thing hurting the rapper – reports suggest he has split from girlfriend Rihanna.

The pair has been inseparable since July (16) and he professed his love for the Umbrella singer at the MTV Video Music Awards in August (16), but according to E! News, the couple has called it quits.

“Rihanna and Drake are seeing other people at the moment,” a source tells the outlet. “They are not exclusive anymore. They still love each other, but their schedules have gotten in the way. Anything can change between them though, for better or worse. They are still in each other’s lives.”
