In the mid 80s Dropbears were THE Warner Music Aussie band.

Johnny Batchelor (vocals), Phil Hall (bass) and Michael Knapp (drummer) formed Dropbears out of Sydney in 1981.

A couple of indie singles led to the Warner signing where the band released some singles and an EP but never an album. It was pretty much over as soon as it began.

Now all these decades later, Dropbears have reformed and Warner Music will finally release an album, albeit a compilation. Look for ‘The Essential Dropbears’.

Shows in NSW have been locked in for:
November 10, Cronulla, Brass Monkey
November 11, Newtown, Sandringham Hotel
November 12, Wollongong, Viva-La-Gong Festival

Jak Housden (The Whitlams, Badloves) and Sandi Chick (Rockmelons) will join Dropbears on stage for the shows.

Toto Returns To Melbourne #Review

Toto’s 2025 setlist focuses on the heritage of the band. The setlist was interesting. Compared to how it was curated for Australia in 2019 this time Toto kept to the albums of the 1900s. Mind you, there were no complaints from the audience for doing that. The biggest hits came from those early years.
