Duff McKagan may be heading back to Guns N Roses.
After seventeen years away from the group, it looks like McKagan is about to rejoin his former band Guns N’ Roses, at least if you can believe his tweets.
On Monday (the day BEFORE April Fools Day), McKagan tweeted “Argentina, Paraguay, Bolivia, Brazil! See y’all in the next few weeks, Si? GNR.” A link then went to what looks like Guns N’ Roses handwritten set lists.
According to Classic Rock, McKagan may be temporarily replacing current GNR guitarist Tommy Stinson who is playing shows with the reformed Replacements.
Guns N Roses currently features Dizzy Reed who played on the Use Your Illusion albums.
If this turns out to be true, look for McKagan with the group at the following dates:
04/01 – Florianopolis, Brazil – Devassa On Stage
04/03 – Porto Alegre, Brazil – Pavilhao da Fiergs
04/06 – Buenos Aires, Argentina – Ferro Stadium
04/09 – Asuncion, Paraguay – Jockey Club
04/12 – La Paz, Bolivia – Estadio Hernando Siles
04/15 – Recife, Brazil – Chevrolet Hall
04/17 – Fortaleza, Brazil – Centro de Eventos de Fortaleza
