After a couple of false starts due to an ill Simon Le Bon the Duran Duran Australian tour is finally happening.
Originally Duran Duran were meant to be in Australia around now. Simon Le Bon confirmed the original tour with Noise11.com at SXSW back in March. Those plans changed when Simon took ill and the world tour was put on hold.
Duran Duran will be in Australia in March 2012.
This will be Australia’s first chance to see Duran Duran since the 2008 tour. They will tour in support of their latest album ‘All You Need Is Now’ (out in Australia through Shock Records). The album was produced by Mark Ronson and features Ana Matronic from Scissor Sisters and Owen Pallet from Arcade Fire.
The video for ‘Girl Panic’ was directed by Twin Peaks director David Lynch.
Tickets for the shows will go on sale in December 15 at 9AM.
