Eagles will return to Australia next week for their first shows since 2015 for The History of the Eagles tour. They will also be their first Australian shows without founder Glenn Frey.

Glenn Frey died on 18 January, 2016. The new line-up features country superstar Vince Gill and Glenn’s son Deacon on the vocals Glenn Frey used to do.

Eagles started their current world tour a year ago in March 2018 in Indianapolis. Since then the setlist has been modified. The songs from the first shows no longer in the set are:

How Long (from Long Road Out of Eden, 2007)
Best of My Love (from On The Border, 1974)
Next Big Thing (from Vince Gill’s Next Big Thing, 2003)
I Don’t Want to Hear Anymore (from Long Road Out of Eden, 2007)
Victim of Love (from Hotel California, 1976)

The new show relies heavily on Vince and Deacon. Vince does lead duties for ‘Take It To The Limit’, ‘Tequila Sunrise’, ‘New Kid In Town’, ‘Lyin’ Eyes’ and ‘Heartache Tonight’.

One of his solo song ‘Don’t Let Our Love Start Slippin’ Away’ is also in the set.

Deacon sings his dad’s ‘Take It Easy’, ‘Peaceful Easy Feeling’ and ‘Already Gone’ giving the 25 song setlist a nine-song reliance on Gill and Frey, suggesting it will be a very different show to previous Eagles tours.
