Mario Rubalcaba of Earthless has named Jonan Hill’s coming-of-age flick Mid90s as his favourite movie of 2018.
‘Mid90s’ is about 13-year old Stevie who hangs out with older kids in Los Angeles and develops a skateboarder lifestyle.
Hill used Trent Reznor to do the score and used music from The Pixies, Morrisey and Herbie Hancock for the soundtrack.
Sunny Suljic played Stevie. ‘Mid90s’ has led him to his next movie, the big budget ‘The House with a Clock in its Walls’, starring Jack Black and Cate Blanchett.
Earthless will tour Australia and New Zealand for David Roy Williams.
