Ed Sheeran was joined onstage by Gary Lightbody for a special performance of Snow Patrol’s ‘Chasing Cars’ at the iTunes festival at London’s Roundhouse venue last night (02.09.12).
The ‘Lego House’ hitmaker was joined by the Snow Patrol frontman at London’s Roundhouse venue halfway through his solo rendition of the group’s 2006 hit before ending his gig in stunning style with a 12-minute version of ‘You Need Me and I Don’t Need You’.
During his last song at the packed venue, the flame-haired singer was joined by rappers including Tinie Tempah, Sway and Devlin, who performed a verse each before leaving the stage.
Ed got off to the perfect start opening his set with ‘Give Me Love’ before singing ‘Drunk’ and he warned the crowd: “If you think you’re too cool to sing, you’re at the wrong gig.”
Throughout the concert, the 21-year-old singer interacted with his audience telling them stories about getting drunk with his friends at festivals.
The iTunes festival continues tonight (03.09.12) with a performance by Olly Murs supported by The Milk.
The festival will also feature performances by Pink, David Guetta, One Direction, Labrinth, Example and Muse as it runs throughout September.
