Ed Sheeran slipped a performance in for Sydney fans at the Paddington Town Hall this week.
700 Ed Sheeran fans won tickets for the event via iHeartRadio and KIIS1065 Sydney. Ed then revealed the secret location during an interview with Kyle Sandilands and Jackie O on KIIS1065. Fans were then treated to a one hour 15 minute performance with songs from both of his album ‘+’ and ‘x’.
Sheeran used the iHeartRadio Live event to launch his new album ‘x’ (multiply). ‘X’ will be released through Warner Music on June 23.
The iHeartRadio live event was the second within a few days. On Saturday night, Kylie Minogue performed a one hour 10 minute set at Trak nightclub in Melbourne on Saturday night.
Recent iHeartRadio Live international events include shows by Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry and Bruno Mars. The shows can be accessed from the iHeartRadio app or by heading to heart.com.
iHeartRadio is the number one digital streaking service in the USA with more than 60 million unique users monthly. The derive was launched by the Australian Radio Network in late 2013. It is the only digital service in Australia combining both custom music and live radio.
