Ed Sheeran says he will most likely write a song or two with Taylor Swift on their current US tour but its unlikely it will be used on his next record.

“My second album has taken shape recently. I don’t know if there will be any collaborations on it,” Ed tells Noise11. “You never know. I’m on tour with her for 6 months. I’m sure the guitars will come out at some point”.

Ed wrote ‘Everything Has Changed’ with Taylor Swift. The song is featured on her ‘Red’ album. “We wrote that song in June,” he said. “We went in to write another song for the ‘Red’ album and then we went to record that other song. The day before we went to record it she invited me around to her house for food and ‘Everything Has Changed’ came out of that.”

Ed remains tight-lipped as the title to the follow-up album to his debut ‘+’. “It doesn’t start with a letter,” is all he will reveal.

The next Ed Sheeran album already has a release date. “February 17,” he says. And the song to listen out for is “Photograph, that will be a biggen”.

Fans will have to wait for the release of the album to hear most of the new songs. He won’t be adding them into his setlist before the album is released. “No Coldplay do that,” he says. “Big bands can ease their new songs into a set but my fans are so viral that the moment I play a new song everyone of them would hear it because they are all on Twitter and YouTube. There should be some surprise. I don’t want everyone knowing the whole record before they get it”.
