Ed Sheeran doesn’t think that he and Justin Bieber would musically ‘click’.
The British singer-and-songwriter’s tune The A Team has a Song of the Year nod at this year’s Grammy Awards.
It is rumoured that Ed was working on a track with the Baby singer recently.
Although Justin has achieved incredible international success, Ed isn’t interested in making music with him at this time.
‘I don’t think a collaboration would work with Justin,’ Ed told British newspaper The Sun.
‘I think collaborations should be done with people that can actually click. Two male singers makes it very difficult for it to work.’
Ed is often approached by managers and artists to pen songs for them.
He even wrote duet Everything Is Changed on a trampoline with Taylor Swift for her latest album Red.
‘I met Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun in New York and he said he’s got this artist I want you to write with,’ Ed said.
‘Next time I was in LA, I was doing [a late-night TV appearance on talk show] Jimmy Kimmel and he brought this girl to Kimmel and I met her straight afterwards. I then went to the studio and did a song.’
