Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros have now publically stated that singer Jade Castrinos was not sacked by the band, she quit.
In a Facebook statement the band posted, “You should know Jade quit. We didnt kick her out. We asked her to take off one tour and get help. So she quit and told you she was booted”.
Castrinos left the band in June 2014 and said then she was fired.
“By all accounts Jade is doing really well and we wish her the best. It was a sad thing for us but such is life. Peace,” the band added.
Alex Ebert formed Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros in 2009 with a revolving line-up of 12 people. Jade has featured as the female lead singer on all three albums by the band.
