Elvis Costello has performed a brand new song on Letterman written one day and played the next. The song is so brand new he only wrote it Wednesday.
The Letterman show posted a picture of Elvis on Twitter holding the sign ‘The Last Year Of Out Youth’.
They then wrote, “Tonight, the great @elviscostello performs a song he just wrote the night before, 11:35/10:35c”.

Costello confirmed that ‘The Last Night Of My Youth’ is the title of the song. “Hear “The Last Night Of My Youth” on “Letterman’ TONIGHT. The 5th of June @imposterspeaks,” he tweeted.
