On October 1, Emmylou Harris was driving a rental car on the 405 freeway in Los Angeles when she allegedly bumped another car on the road and kept driving without stopping to exchange information or report the accident.
The California Highway Patrol became involved after the driver of the other car reported the incident and the investigation has finally been completed and sent to the Los Angeles district attorney who will decide whether to file charges on Harris.
TMZ talked with Harris’ attorney who said that the singer had a “minor traffic accident” and “unintentionally rubbed bumpers with another vehicle.”
The lawyer also called it a “garden-variety accident that happens everyday on the 405”; however, he failed to mention that not stopping for such an accident is crime.
