Following Engelbert’s shock score defeat at last months Eurovision Song Contest it seems that the telephones at the Humperdinck empire have not stopped ringing.
Engelbert, the UK representative for Eurovision 2012, came second last with only 12 points scored.
“We have received three “very interesting” high profile movie scripts, several multi million dollar offers for private parties in Europe, Arena tour offers from all over Europe, TV commercial offers and even an offer to star on Broadway”, said Engelbert’s manager Scott Dorsey tells Noise11.com.
“In a weird way it is probably best that our score was so low, it sort of undermines the legitimacy of the competion in general ,especially when we compare what actually was in the top 10.
However I must say that Sweden had an amazing song and fantastic performance and deserved to win”, he added.
Following the shock loss (Engelbert was 3rd favorite to win going into the competion), there have been many outcries online calling for the BBC to pull out of Eurovision in the future.
