Eric Clapton will release a new, expanded and remastered version of his Grammy winning Album of the Year, Unplugged.
A firm date has not been announced but the album is expected in mid-October.
Included is the remastered version of the original album plus a second disc of songs that didn’t make the set including a cover of Big Maceo Merriweather’s Worried Life Blues, an alternate take of Walkin’ Blues and early versions of Circus and My Father’s Eyes — songs that would surface six years later on Clapton’s album Pilgrim.
The DVD has the original broadcast version of the MTV Unplugged show plus more than an hour of unreleased rehearsal footage, including performances of the previously mentioned Circus and My Father’s Eyes.
