The 6th studio album will be their first since leaving Warner Music. Eskimo Joe are using the Pozible crowd-funding website to generate the funds to record their new album.

For an investor who contributes $6000 to the project the band will provide the venue, drinks and a BBQ for 20 and play a few songs as well.

The band has a $40,000 goal to raise the funds by February 9 but as of publication time they were already more than halfway their with $21,850 so far pledged.

In a statement, Eskimo Joe said, “This Pozible campaign is about creating the right set of circumstances to produce a great record and we’re really looking forward to enjoying the creative freedom that goes along with this decision. We hope we can inspire you to get on board!

“We see this project as an opportunity to share this album experience with you and there will be many ways to get involved. We’ll be on the interwebs regularly updating you all through facebook, twitter and instagram at each step along the way”.

Contributors to the project will also receive two addition songs recorded during the sessions for investors only.
