Joel Quartermain of Eskimo Joe has been in the studio producing new music for Western Australian singer songwriter Morgan Bain.
Bain recorded his new song ‘Why Don’t You Stay’ with Quartermain at his Wasteland Studio in Perth. The single was mastered by Grammy Award winning William Bowden of King Willy Sound.
“The song is about anxieties that come with giving your everything to someone and how to not let those anxious thoughts take over and get in the way of how you really feel,” Bain says.
The video for ‘Why Don’t You Stay’ was directed by Steve Browne (Scalphunter, Tired Lion, Timothy Nelson & The Infidels) and shot at Chris Huzzard studio. “The video is simple but complicated in an emotional way, just like the song and its concept,” says Bain.
Bain won Song of the Year in the Blues and Roots category at the WAMi’s in Perth two weeks ago for his song ‘Hold On’. He is also a semi-finalist in the US International Songwriting Contest for his song ‘The Middle’.
