Melbourne power-pop heroes Even release their new album’s first single on vinyl for Record Store Day, and play in-store.
Even have been producing pristine power-pop and retro rock for eighteen years, and just after the release of their sixth album In Another Time they’ll drop a 7-inch vinyl version of the first single ‘What You Wanna Do’ on Record Store Day, Saturday 21 April.
Singer songwriter and guitarist Ashley Naylor beams at the 18-year celebration, saying it’s “great to be able to release the band’s sixth studio album and sixth vinyl single in the same year”.
They’ll also headline a stellar line-up of acts playing at Record Paradise (100 Chapel St, St. Kilda) from 11am on the day, with Money For Rope, The Bowers and Rosie Haden.
“This release is a win-win-win” says bass player and Melbourne music identity Wally Kempton, “because we get another vinyl record for our collections, plus we get to play live, and our drummer Matt gets a chance to produce some decent-sized artwork”.
It all happens this Saturday April 21.
