Ex-Red Hot Chili Pepper John Frusciante has filed for a protective order against an aggressive female fan.
Rolling Stone reports that Frusciante has filed a request for a protective order against an over-eager fan who at one point wanted to secure rights to his life story.
The 32-year-old woman, August Elizabeth Thomas, reportedly approached the guitarist to write a screenplay about his life, but after he declined she started an “aggressive” campaign of letter and emails.
She even appeared at his shows and turned up to his house twice in two days.
The request stated that Frusciante felt she was “unstable” and “could snap” and that Thomas was hard to avoid while both he and his wife Nicole Turley are touring.
They’ll head to court later on in the month.
