Melbourne’s premier music conference Face The Music announce PiL’s Martin Atkins and Primavera Sound’s Almudena Heredero.

The annual Melbourne music industry conference has announced its first key guest speakers and put tickets on sale.
The first is Martin Atkins, a member of PiL who has also worked with Nine Inch Nails and Ministry. He’s also the author of the acclaimed book Tour:Smart And Break the Band, dubbed the “ultimate touring manual” by Mojo Magazine.
They have also secured Followspot founder Almudena Heredero, who represents Barcelona’s iconic Primavera Sound festival. Heredero is also the founder of PrimaveraPro and organiser of the Sounds of Spain conference.
This is barely the beginning, as professional advice and productive anecdotes will also come from Fergus Linehan (Vivid, Sydney), Jerome Borazio (Laneway Festival, 1000 Pound Bend), Leigh Treweek (Street Press Australia), Jaddan Comerford (The Staple Group), Johann Ponniah (I OH YOU), Hannah Fox (Supplefox), Patrick Donovan (Music Victoria), Helen Marcou (SLAM), Henry Wagons and more than 100 other industry figures.
Tickets are on sale now from their site for a mere $45 ($30 concession) for one day or $70 ($50 concession) for both days. The presentations, showcases, networking, workshops and more are essential for anyone in the music industry. Face The Music runs on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 November, 2012, at the Arts Centre in Melbourne.
