Faithless have their third number 1 album in Britain with Faithless 2.0.
The band, which released its first singles twenty years ago, first hit the top in 2004 with No Roots and again in 2005 with Forever Faithless: The Greatest Hits. Overall, the band has released six studio albums while Faithless 2.0 is their sixth remix set.
David Gilmour is spending his fourth week in the top ten with Rattle That Lock, now at number 7 while Cliff Richard is also in his fourth week on the chart and his third at number 13 with 75 at 75: 75 Career Spanning Hits.
Tom Jones failed to match his last two releases, which both reached the top ten, with his latest, Long Lost Suitcase. The third in a trilogy of albums, it only starts at 17 while 2010’s Praise and Blame opened at number 2 and 2012’s Spirit in the Room at number 8. Tom made headlines last week for calling Engelbert Humperdinck “a c**t’.
French electronic artist Ludovic Navarre, who goes by Saint Germaine, debuts at 76 with his self-titled set. It is only his second album to chart in Britain after 2000’s Tourist went to 73.
