Less than ten days out from their Australian tour, LA electro hip-hop crew Far East Movement cancel.
The group are citing visa issues as the cause for the cancellation, and say they’re working towards rescheduling the shows.
They write in a press release:
“Australian/NZ fam: we are sad to announce that we have to postpone our upcoming tour of your countries. We had some last-minute issues with our working visas that are now preventing us from travelling over there to rock for y’all. We gotta shout out every single basshead that was gonna come out and party with us in New Zealand and Australia.
“We appreciate your support and are working hard so that we can come back and perform for y’all asap. Until then keep turning up the love and spreading that dirty bass. Much love, Far East Movement.”
As for refunds: Auckland fans can go back to their place of purchase; Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney and Perth fans will be refunded to their credit card automatically, or you can go back to place of purchase; Adelaide fans will need to return their tickets with their contact details to Venue Tix, PO Box 221, Torrensville SA 5031.
In honour of the screw-up, here’s FEM’s ‘Ain’t Coming Down[-Under]’.
