Fergie has filed for divorce from Josh Duhamel, almost two years after they split.

Fergie, 44, entered the legal documents on Friday (31May19) in a Pasadena court, according to The Blast.

Fergie and the 46-year-old Transformers star announced their split in September 2017 after eight years of marriage in a joint statement.

“With absolute love and respect we decided to separate as a couple earlier this year,” the duo said. “To give our family the best opportunity to adjust, we wanted to keep this a private matter before sharing it with the public.”

“We are and will always be united in our support of each other and our family,” their statement added.

The couple began dating in 2004, before getting engaged three years later and eventually tying the knot in 2009. Fergie officially changed her name from Stacy Ann Ferguson to Fergie Duhamel just weeks before welcoming her and Josh’s first child, Axl, in August 2013.

Following their shock separation, Josh was happy that they’ve managed to maintain a friendly relationship for the sake of their son.

“Fergie and I had a great relationship. I love that girl and I always will. Unfortunately, we didn’t work. But I will always have her back and she is the mother of my baby,” he sweetly shared.

Fergie spoke about balancing her career and motherhood just a few months after separating from the Safe Haven star, and confessed she feels exhausted, just like any other working mother.

“As any hard-working mom knows, it is a delicate balancing act that I have to be juggling all of the time with the different schedules, the family schedules, the work schedules,” she explained. “I’m constantly having to have boundaries to make sure that all of those hours are in and it’s a balanced lifestyle because I’ve got so much on my plate that sometimes I’m just a tired mom.”

Josh was previously linked to actress Eiza Gonzalez last year (18), but they called it quits after a few months of dating.
